Question 4

What is the 25-year rule?

Accepted Answer

Federal law allows vehicles 25 years or older to be imported into the US without meeting modern safety and emissions standards. This is the primary legal pathway for most JDM imports. A 1999 vehicle became eligible in 2024.

Question 5

How long does the import process take?

Accepted Answer

From the time you place an order to the vehicle arriving in DFW, the typical timeline is 8–14 weeks. This includes sourcing in Japan, shipping across the Pacific, customs clearance, and final compliance checks.

Question 6

What does the price include?

Accepted Answer

Our listed prices include the vehicle cost, ocean freight, US customs duties, certified inspection, and fluid changes to manufacturer specification.

Question 7

Can I request a specific vehicle?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Custom orders are our specialty. Tell us the make, model, year, trim, and any specific options you want — we'll source it from Japanese auctions and dealers and give you a full quote.

Question 8

Do the vehicles come with a warranty?

Accepted Answer

JDM imports are sold as-is without a manufacturer warranty. However, we thoroughly inspect every vehicle before delivery and provide a full condition report. We can also recommend trusted local mechanics who specialize in JDM vehicles.
